My Great Web page

Damn! We were close to being scammed yesterday at TipidPC (Buy and Sell Computer Hardware, Parts and Peripherals).

Because we were so eager to find a quality but low priced laptop or notebook, ayun yung napala namin. My girlfriend needs a light weight notebook with a good battery life to bring to Saudi any time soon so TipidPC is the most trusted site to look for cheap laptops. I have successfully bought items through the site last year so I trust this site na.

My girl friend and I were looking for cheap laptops online for almost a week now. Due to desperation, we found this ad “Sony Vaio NR110E Laptop for only 10,000 pesos”. We contacted the seller and he emailed the specs, below is the email screenshot:

Tipid PC Scammer Email

Who wouldn’t be enticed with that kind of offer?

After our text and Facebook chat, the seller with username (mikedelerosa) asked for Php 2,000 initial deposit through LBC to reserve the merchandise. He said someone is also interested to get the Vaio so if I wanted the unit, I should make a reservation.

Seller even offered to send the unit after he received the reservation fee. He assured that he is not a SCAMMER because I have his address. But hey, I’m not that dumb! Address is not required in claiming LBC money transfer and you can get any fake IDs at Recto.

Intuition tells me there’s something wrong so I decided to check on the cell number that he is using. And BHAM! As expected, Google results….It’s a scam!

This scammer is using the name Michael dela Rosa this time. He even added me at Facebook but now I can’t find his account. Maybe I was blocked so I can’t view his account anymore.

He is also using the following email address:

delarosamike13@yahoo.com

camshowopen@yahoo.com

I learned that is also previously using aliases like: Rham Santos/ Alberto Ocampo

So guys, beware! mas okay yung kaliwaan, pero ingat din sa holdap!

Share you experiences din! Have you tried buying through TipidPC?

PS:

I am still looking for quality but low priced laptop or notebooks. Drop a comment, if you are selling one. My girl friend needs one and additional units for my business expansion. Salamat!

so far, no problems with TPC. I usually buy/sell high value items from friends/people I know. but ram modules, HDs, memory cards – okay pa naman ang mga transactions ko. ayoko lang yung mga barat sa TPC = far below fair market value yung mga offer. everybody: ingat sa mga “too-good-to-be-true” offers in TPC, TCP, Sulit, etc.

Thanks for the visit Sir. So far din, my last 2 transactions are great. Kahapon lang ako muntik madenggoy nitong scammer na to. Kaya ingat sa lahat lalo na sa mga tipong thru LBC daw isesend yung money. Nakakatakot yung ganun. Investigate about the seller first before making any payment or deposit.

Wow! From the price itself, it’ll surely attract buyers. Its was good that your skeptic about it; one more step and you could have been scammed.
