You might have noticed that I only have 3 blog posts this month prior to this. No, I am not retiring in the online business nor going back to the regular day job or call center. Never again! That’s for sure. Making money online in the Philippines is more profitable and enjoyable!
I am here in Manila accompanying my girl friend in processing her requirements for overseas employment. I have learned a lot from the experience and thought that these would be beneficial to my visitors. There are a number of requirements to submit and you need firsthand experience in order to save time and energy. It is better to research online to know the exact location of the offices you need to transact with.
In this post, I will deal on how to get NBI Clearance.
If you are getting your Clearance in Metro Manila, the NBI Clearance Center has moved to a new location. You can find it at the 5th Floor of Victory Central Mall in Caloocan City.

The former location was at Carriedo Plaza Building, Carriedo St. cor Estero Cegado and Sales St., Quiapo, Manila. DON’T GO THERE!!! Lol
So what do you need to bring to get an NBI clearance?
If you are a first time applicant, bring any of the following:
NBI Clearance Requirements
***In the absence of any of the above, a birth certificate issued by NSO may be presented.
For Renewal:
a. Personal Copy of the old NBI Clearance issued not earlier than 1994. Photocopy is not accepted.
b. In the absence of the old NBI clearance, applicant is required to accomplish a new Application Form (Fingerprint Card).
How much do you need to pay?
The fee depends on the purpose of your application:
1. Naturalization, Cancellation on ACR, Repatriation: Php 415.00
2. Change of Name, Business License, NFA, SEC, TBC, Adoption, POEA, PRA Requirement, Permit to Carry Firearm.: Php 165.00
3. Travel Abroad, Immigration Requirement, Visa Seaman, Seaman’s Book, TBC for RTO, Marriage Requirement.: Php 115.00
4. Local Employment, Customs Pass ID, Enlistment AFP, DND, DOT Requirement, ID Purposes and Other Requirement.: Php 115.00
For those with old NBI clearance or renewal applicant, you may proceed to the following Kiosks in the following locations:
Park Square I, Makati City
SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City
Tutuban Center Mall, Divisoria Manila
HK Sun Plaza, Macapagal Avenue, Pasay City
Important note: If you have “HIT” issue or with the same name, don’t go to these kiosks. My girl friend queued for 4 hours in SM Megamall but advised to go to the main clearance center in Caloocan City because of the HIT issue.

hey hello there, i wanna ask lang sana, what if ive got my old NBI clearance then im gonna renew it and change name since im married, pwede ba ko pumunta sa HK sun plaza un lng kc pinaka malapit samin from cavite eh,. or do i still need to go to caloocan which is im not really familiar with that place. im gonna appreciate ur answer, thanks ur site are very helpful too.

I believe you can go there but I guess it’s safer if you go directly to the new site at Caloocan.

Gud am po, i have a question, my husband is in abroad as a contract worker, and he needs to renew his nbi clearance for visa application, can i renew it in his behalf. i have the xerox of his old nbi and id. is it good enough?

Sakay lang po kayo ng LRT papuntang Monumento. Pag baba nyo sa Monumento station, lakad kayo papuntang Victory Bus Terminal, then katabi nun yung Victory Central Mall, nasa 5th floor po.

Salamat sa pagbisita, Kung galing kang Guadalupe, pwede ka sumakay ng Bus papuntang Monumento. Or pwede ka naman sumakay ng MRT papuntang Taft Station, then sakay ka LRT derechong Monumento. Sa tingin ko mas mabilis ang byahe kung magMRT-LRT ka.

May I know what is the fee for NBI? My friend told me new government has increase the fee and is cost PHP15000 to apply. Is there such expensive fee? I wonder this is true.

Why is it, i cant apply for a renewal w/o the original copy, i only have the xerox last 2 yr. ago . kababalik ko lng po ng Dec 2009 the orig copy i think was lost po. Thank you po

Opo, don’t deal with fixers waiting outside the mall or inside. There are a lot. Instead, go directly to the 5th Floor of Victory Central Mall and transact business with NBI personnel only. Mahaba ang pila pero konti tyaga lang po kelangan.
SIR,gudpm!question lng po kc ma rerenew me ng NBI ds friday,at married na po ako last Dec 2009.ngaun ask ko lng f babalik po ba ako 4 new applicant o hindi na kc gusto ko sana baguhin na apelyido ko at gamitin ko na apelyido ng mister ko.at lahat ng valid ID ko VIAS parin po.pede po baun sa renewal ko or nid talga na mag apply ako as new applicant.pls reply i need 2 know it.maramming salamat po.

Hi just want to ask in the absence of the lists above for the new applicant shall the marriage contract is sufficient to present as proof of identity? Aside from that the police clearance from our town issued is enough to present to get an NBI clearance? Looking forward to hear from you soon. ty & god bless

@jonjon: I think you need to wait 2-5 days, I am not just sure on their process.
