It was my dream to meet Santa when I was a kid. I remember, we used to hang our shoes (take note, not socks but the entire pair of shoes) near the window. It was weird but that’s how we do it when we were young.
I remember the excitement thinking about the gift that we will receive the next day when we woke up. At the same time, you can imagine the frustration on our faces when I see our gifts compared to other kids from the neighborhood.
We’ve been good but how come we only got gifts less than 20 pesos. While those not performing well in their studies received toy robots worth more than 500 hundred pesos.
That’s when I stopped believing in Santa…
Santa is just a work of imagination…
Santa is make-believe…
Santa is a creation of capitalist’s mind…
But after 26 years, I’ve finally met Santa…
