Yes, the MEGAFIGHT is on!
The moment I saw Bob Arum in the Philippines last week, I knew that the Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather will be set. I believe he has that power to negotiate with his experience in boxing promotions. Top rank has been around since I was a kid.
The Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight is set on March 13, 2010 but no final venue yet. There are three places considered: Dallas Cowboys new stadium in Texas, MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and New Orleans Superdome. The place should be huge to accommodate the number of people who will be watching this great fight.
Manny Pacquiao is proven to be the best fighter in this generation, however, I am concerned about his capability this time. Although I am a supporter, there is a possibility that he can lose because of his numerous activities such as movie promotions, advertising deals, showbiz intrigues especially the affair with sexy actress “Krista Ranillo”, candidacy as as Congressman of Saranggani, and a lot of other activities.
I just hope he can focus on his training.
Mayweather is a clever fighter too. Too clever that he does care about reaching the standard weight. I suggest that a fine of 12M dollars should be imposed for every pound over the set weight. Mayweather won the last fight with Marquez because he was overweight.
Mayweather decided to pay the fine instead of reaching the set weight. It was a very small chunk of the guaranteed pay anyway. Very clever indeed!
