Yesterday, Senator Chiz Escudero made a shocking announcement to leave his party, the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC). Escudero was a party member from 1998-2009.

Numerous speculations had come out regarding his move. Some analysts say that this was suicidal. I don’t know what’s on his mind.

“Sa aking paniniwala, sinuman pong nagpaplano tumakbo bilang pangulo ng bansa, wala dapat partidong kinabibilangan. Ang partido lamang dapat niya ay Pilipinas at ang kanyang mga kapartido ay lahat ng Pilipino,” Escudero said in a speech.
