Comelec Registration Online Verification: Check If Still Active

Written by Ronald Redito

Topics: Uncategorized

I’ve heard that the deadline of the voters’ registration is on October 31, 2009. COMELEC urged eligible voters to enlist before the nationwide registration ends. My girl friend and her sister registered this afternoon. However until as of this moment I didn’t have the biometrics thing.

Do I still have to re-register for the 2010 Elections? I don’t have the leisure to go to the office because of my hectic schedule.

Luckily, I have read a blog post about this Comelec Online Verification. Good to see that my status is still ACTIVE.

So, how do you verify your Comelec Registration? Simply go to Comelec’s Registration Verification page. Encode your Firstname, Middlename, Lastname and Birthdate, click Find Now and it will tell you your registration details. Registration details include Province, City/Municipality, Barangay, Precinct No., Status and Biometrics Info.

If you are not yet registered or your registration is inactive, you still have until October 31 to register. Registration is available even this coming Sunday for provinces affected by recent calamities.

I urge you especially the first time voters to register! We have the power to choose the next leaders of our country! I firmly believe that there is still hope for our country.

“May Bukas Pa!” at may bagong umagang parating!

There are many complaints regarding registration, first and foremost is the long line one has to go through, then other haven’t got their names on list. Can the Comelec formulate a better system of registration? :-)

    Dear Sir,

This pertains to the current brouhaha on the quality of PCOS Machines.

Being a former member of Technical Working Group (TWG) & TEST INSPECTION ACCEPTANCE COMMITTEE ( TIAC) ,it really puzzled me that the COMELEC TWG & COMELEC TIAC was not ever mentioned in the persistent Acceptance Quality Level (AQL) nightmare on the PCOS machines.

The Acceptance of a newly procured government equipment basically follows the Revised IRR RA 9184 (Govt Procurement Act) & the Philippine Bidding Document (PBD)for goods

COMELEC TWG is duty bound to specify & FORMULATE ALL the detailed procedures for all Quality Assurance & ACCEPTANCE Tests JUST like:

the initial Post Qualification (Post Qua) Acceptance Procedures for the winning bidder, where the best sample is submitted by the same winning bidder to undergo initial Post Qua- Quality Test & Acceptance Test. If the winning bidder fail, the second lowest calculated bid will be declared winning bidder, and again ,it will also undergo the same Post Qua Acceptance Test. ( WAS THIS FOLLOWED?)

COMELEC TWG, from the very start, should have established the Acceptance Quality Level (AQL) to be the basis to accept or reject the delivered item.

Three (3) MANDATORY Tests an newly procured equipment must undergo to be accepted for subsequent distribution & usage in the field.

    1. Post Qualification Test- Where the winning bidder , submits its best (one) sample (done in the Phil by COMELEC TWG)

    2. Pre-delivery Inspection at the country of Origin( China)- Random Sampling based on an established sampling method & AQL ( Should have been done in Taiwan BY COMELEC TIAC)

    3. Test & Acceptance Procedures -Random Sampling-done here in the Philippines (BY COMLEC TIAC) upon arrival of items.(WHOLE LOT). Acceptance & Rejection is based on the approved AQL established by TWG.

WHY in the world, are we doing the testing on a TRIAL & ERROR METHOD, in the Philippines ? Have we not established or done (if any) the three (3 ) mandatory tests before a DELIVERY IS ACCEPTED ,as mandated by revised IRR RA 9184?

Moreover, PCOS Machines should have undergone FIRST the Test & Acceptance of the whole delivery ,(not on installment basis)to be conducted by COMELEC TIAC before its nationwide distribution.

I wish the COMELEC TWG & TIAC will enlighten us on this issue . ,For the benefit of the Filipino, we need to know the reason why we are in an AQL Nightmare ;IF THIS IS NEGLIGENCE/ IGNORANCE/ NEEDING CORRECTIVE ACTIONS IN THE FUTURE ? SO BE IT . as long as GOVT. TRANSPARENCY is pursued .

COMELEC TWG & TIAC has a lot explaining to do on the Acceptance of these PCOS Machines, Likewise, smartmatic has a lot of penalties incurred in this brouhaha.

Well, all i can say is sobrang bagal ngayon compare mo sa dati.I started to fall in line at 6:45 a.m. and i finished voting 11:00 a.m.Voters are complaining about the voting situation.Mas mabagal daw ngayon…..

  8. admin says:

But make sure na dry ang hands nyo before accepting the ballot.

  9. Augusto Gamboa, Jr. says:

Where can i find my precinct number? Until now I haven’t find my name in my precinct number3240A. Please try to help me… I need to vote today…

  10. admin says:

    Hi Sir,

There’s an online precint finder in the COMELEC website but unfortunately, the official website of COMELEC is down due to the huge amount of traffic to the website.

I guess you can visit the school you are previously voting.
