As a product of the University of the Philippines, sometimes I am branded as radical because of some political opinions that I’ve previously shared in this blog. Yes I am radical! I tend to see things and issues from the grassroots. I believe that in order to solve the problems in this country, we need to pinpoint the roots of these problems. Only then we can make a lasting and suitable remedy.
Currently, a video of UP Diliman Professor Solita Monsod, commonly known as Mareng Winnie is going viral over Youtube. This video is very timely as we face issues of corruption and incompetence in the past and present governments.
Watch the video below as Mareng Winnie discusses about “Honor (Integrity) and Excellence”, essential traits of leaders needed in order to move this country forward. Although directed to her students in Econ in UPD, every Filipino can learn from her views.
