Before TV Patrol ended today, it featured a new noontime show to replace Wowowee. It will be called “Pilipinas For the Win” and will first air on July 31, Saturday.
I believe the name was derived from today’s youth’s term FTW which I always see on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Friendster. Other terms I see are “amp” and WTF (what the F*&^)!
Pilipinas For The Win (PFTW) will be directed by Johnny Manahan. The show will be hosted by Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Pokwang (from Wowowee), Robin Padilla (who guest hosted Wowowee for 2 weeks) and Kris Aquino.

Yes, Kris Aquino who declared she was willing to leave the Philippines if she will be the cause of trouble for her brother, President Noynoy Aquino.
But now, she has eaten her words. She might be saying to herself, “sorry, I lied!” I need to back up my brother’s incompetence.
Now that’s WTF!!!
