Today, June 30, 2010, majority (because it was declared a holiday) have witnessed the inauguration of our new President, Benigno Simeon Aquino III. Many had the chance to watch the oathtaking from their homes because almost all TV stations were covering the event.
I am also sure that high school and colleges students also tuned in because a reaction paper will be required by their professors. Am, I right?
Noynoy Aquino Inauguration
The said event gathered mixed reactions from social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, the top 2 social networking platforms in the country. #noynoy and #aquino have become top trending topic on Twitter for hours. But is it something to be proud of?
Despite pleasant promises, a number of people are still doubtful if Noynoy Aquino can really deliver. His campaign slogan of “Kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap” is questionable.
Madaling sabihin ngunit mahirap gawin. He has even admitted in a previous interview that he cannot solve the country’s problem in his 6 years term contrast to his stand when he was just campaigning. Did he say that just to get the votes of the masses?
Majority of people are disappointed.
Yes, there might be flocks of people who attended at the Quirino Grandstand but that does not represent the whole population of the Philippines.
People are disappointed because we witnessed a concert, instead of a formal event.
People are disappointed because we are afraid that government will become a sight of entertainment.
People are disappointed because we heard rhetoric.
People are disappointed because we heard promises ripped off from previous administration.
People are disappointed because we witnessed a lousy president’s speech with a “prompter”.
People are disappointed because we heard a platform of division instead of unity.
People are disappointed because we did not hear concrete plans on how to achieve their goals.
And most importantly, people are disappointed because we have no choice but to listen to a biased media network like ABS-CBN who’s obviously protecting their business interest. They have successfully installed a president, now it’s payback time.

For me the best thing that he said is that he didn’t said a promise to his speech that he can do it by himself. We must support his 6 year term so that we might able to see and feel the change of our country. We must also help ourselves within us so that it is in our hands to make a change. I hope and I wish his term will be reducing the poverty of country little by little. In farming, I admit that our country need more ideas and new methods in terms of agricultural, I think that he rather focus on our fertile land because we have a beautiful country that makes us unique to others. I get some quote that he should mention “The way to spiritual wealth is to acknowledge your spiritual poverty”. The country needs a ruler who has only one purpose in life that is being with God.
ahm……….ang masasabi ko lng try muna nating makinig at makisama ..pabayaan muna natin at tulungan nalang kung anu ang gagawin ng pangulo…wag muna taung kumuntra kung wala namn taung nakiktang hindi kaaya-aya sa ating mga mata…………

Let’s help each other first. Sure something good would come out. If its not the best, it’ll be better ‘coz we made it with the help of one another.
If we fill ourselves with self-doubt, then think of this: what if everybody thinks negative and would not let the new administration have a chance? There would be no hope and no progress to the country and to ourselves.
If this is the time to believe and to hope, even if it would come true or not, then at the end we could say “at least we tried…”

P-Noy? I think he can be what we all wanted. Maybe not instant but i know he learns easily. And he also dream to live in a peaceful and well improved country. Lets wait and see. Noong college ako, galit na galit din ako sa GMA admin kase yun yung mapapanood mo sa TV at mababasa mo sa dyaryo. Pero ang hindi ko alam, may personal na galit pala ang mga may-ari nitong media entities na nakukuhanan ko ng mga impormasyon.
Eto isipin nyo, kung kakampi siguro ng Arroyo admin ang ABSCBN, wala ka sigurong mapapanood na masama about them. Puro papuri din kagaya ng nangyayari ngayon kahit obviously wala naman nagawa si Noynoy nung nasa Kongreso at Senado sya.
Nagtagumpay ang media sa pagbilog ng kaisipan ng masa na si Noynoy ang sagot sa kahirapan ng Pilipinas.
Pero naisip nyo ba ngaun ang mga nakapaligid sa kanya.
Bakit hindi ni Noynoy usigin ang mga crony ni Marcos kaya ng tiyuhin nyang si Danding Cojuangco? Naging hero lang naman ang mga Aquino dahil kay Marcos diba?

People are telling me to stop criticizing when in fact their Noynoy himself is creating this division among the Filipinos. He is proud to criticize when he himself has no accomplishments during his time in Congress and Senate.
