Last June 12, 2010 (as part of the Philippines’ independence day celebration) the Lifestyle Network re-aired the “Iron Chef America Super Chef Battle” featuring the first Filipino Chef of the White House, Cristeta Pasia-Comerford.
The Pinay White House Executive Chef teamed up with Iron Chef Bobby Flay and they fought against Iron Chef Mario Batali and Super Chef Emeril Lagasse.
What’s amazing about this Iron Chef battle is how Comerford used her Filipino heritage in creating sumptuous meals.
The Filipina White House Chef was born in Sampaloc, Manila. She completed her high school at the Manila Science High School. She went to University of the Philippines Diliman and majored in food technology however, they migrated to the US so she was unable to finish her degree.
There will be a reply on Lifestyle network on June 15 at 1:30 p.m., June 18 at 10 p.m. and June 30 at 9 p.m.
