Mayor Jejomar Binay will be proclaimed today, June 9, 2010 by the Congress. He has garnered 727,084 votes more than close opponent Mar Roxas.
The apparent vice president expressed gratitude to his brothers and sisters in Alpha Phi Omega whom he considered a major factor in his victory. He has been very transparent and vocal since the start of the campaign of his affiliation with the fraternity. Jejomar Binay is a member of Alpha Phi Omega University of the Philippines Diliman Chapter (Batch 1960).

According to APO National President Mel Adriano, the fraternity has 350 collegiate chapters nationwide and about 210 alumni association that supported Binay’s campaign. Although APO did not officially announce a bloc vote, he says members were free to choose their candidate for president, although most of them were consistent in voting for Binay.
Binay had support from different political parties. NoyBi (Noynoy-Binay), GiBi (Gibo-Binay), Vi-Bi (Villar-Binay) and of course Erap-Binay.
The allegation that Binay had abandoned Estrada is unthinkable. As far as I can remember, “siya lang ag kandidatong hindi bumalimbing”. He stuck it out with Erap during tough times.
I am a Gibo supporter and personally campaigned for Gibo Teodoro and Jejomar Binay in Oas, Albay. I even transformed my house into a pseudo-headquarters for Gibo-Binay (All for FREE- as service to my country).

A lot has happen since the JIM JONES TRADGEDY and SIME DARBY’S little civil war with country for doing NORTH AMERICAN BUSINESS . Mayor Binay, you have weather the storm.
