It’s official, Brod Mayor Jejomar Binay is our new Vice President!
Based on the latest news on TV Patrol World (June 8, 2010), Jojo Binay got a total of 14,645,574 while Mar Roxas had a total of 13,918,490.
Binay has a lead of 727,084 votes.
Noynoy Aquino got 15,208,678 votes to officially win the presidential race.
Both will be proclaimed tomorrow, June 9, 2010, by the Congress.
The canvassing of the last certificate of canvass from Lanao del Sur finally sealed the victory of vice presidential candidate Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay by as much as 600,000 votes against roxas during the canvassing.
Based on the COC from the proviince, Binay got 144,203 against closest rival, Sen. Mar Roxas, who only garnered 29,074 votes.
There are 515,485 registered voters in the province, with 361,845 coming out on election day to cast their ballots.
Congress is expected to proclaim presidential frontrunner Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Binay tomorrow, Wednesday during the joint congressional session. – By Dennis Carcamo (Philstar News Service, www.philstar.com)
