There are several things that I would like to share to you about the application process for Saudi employment through POEA and the Saudi Recruitment Office (SRO). In this post I will focus on the examination and interview phase of acquiring a Saudi employment.
My girlfriend waited for about a month before she received a text message informing her of the scheduled examination and interview at the SRO. You will be informed a week earlier so you still have time to prepare.
The Saudi Recruitment Office (SRO) is a government entity organized by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). It accepts and processes applications of medical workers for direct deployment exclusively to government hospitals and other medical institutions in KSA.

The Saudi Recruitment office (SRO) is at the 18th floor of BDO tower along Makati Ave. corner Paseo De Roxas in Makati City. From LRT Buendia, ride a Guadalupe bound jeepney and alight at Makati Ave. Landmark is the Petron gasoline station on the left and a Starbucks coffee chain on the right. From Starbucks, you will have to walk a couple of blocks before you can get to the BDO tower which is a gold colored building.
On your scheduled date, be punctual, you have to be there at least 30 minutes before your scheduled examination because you will be required to look for your files (the one that you submitted to POEA) and register.
There is no dress code but just like any other job exam and interview, try to look your best. But remember, Arabs are very conservative people so I would recommend that you do not apply too much make up, a little powder and lip gloss will do.
Applicants will be given an hour to finish the 50 item examination. Right after the exam all those who passed will be interviewed and those who were unsuccessful will be sent home. According to my girlfriend, most of the interviews lasted for about 10-15 minutes and clinical questions will be asked.
You will be informed right away about the result of the interview and a letter of appointment will be offered to you indicating the amount of your monthly salary.
Present the letter of employment along with the medical report form to POEA and attend an initial orientation about the entire process and requirements that you need to accomplish. I would suggest that you start fixing your papers the moment that you received your letter of appointment because you will only be given a month to comply.

Hi guys!i sent an email to Mr.Adel asking him when is my booked flight.he replied agad.I am booked on the 12th of October. Si Ms.Barol hindi pa nagreply.So i guess pede ren mag ask kay Mr. Adel.they will send the list daw and the tickets within this week daw.

Private or Government Hospital are the ones responsible for your Iqama. You will not pay any single cents, you just have to provide 2 photos. With regards to your salary, there is no truth that you can get your salary after 3 months, you will also have your salary on salary day which fall on every 25th of Arabic date.
Pertaining to cash advance, better to bring at least some kasi wala na yong cash advance na yan, siguro dati pero ngayon wala na! But you have food allowance of 500sr since you will be residing outside KFMC accommodation.

@rechel: Better to bring uniform with you, one will do pero kung gusto mong dalawang pair it would be much better para hindi ka wash and wear, but take note na wag masyadong masikip, long sleeves at below knee ang haba
First day of arrival, you will report to Recruitment office to fill up some employee’s information and other requirements that you have to submit. You will also do medical exam & you will be wearing Abaya, then after that may mga training & lecture pa kayo before kayo ma-designate sa kung saan department nyo talaga pero while on training and lecture, ire-require na nila kayong mag-uniform ng dala nyo kasi hindi pa kayo mai-issue-an ng uniform ng king fahad kaagad.
If you can bring some pocket money, mas maganda kasi i think it will take a week before ma-release sa inyo ang food allowance nyo.
@lawrence: There will be October 12 who are scheduled for departure and then I think after 2-3 weeks na ang last batch. I’m not sure yet kung kelan talaga but most probably ganun ang flight ng last batch.

@CHONA: kung dika pa tinetext ng sro and according to the email you’ve received says your flight will be on october 12, better to come to sro, kasi sa batch namin may mga hindi sila natext pero we’re on same flight, buti yong friend ko nagpunta sya even though she hadn’t received a text from sro and ayun kasama nga sya sa list na magfaflight last sept 22 and yet di talaga sya tinext ng sro.. so when she saw her name on the list of sept 22 flight, she directly took her departure slip from linda and linda saw her name on the list..
so advise lang doon sa mga dipa nakakareceive ng text from sro and doesn’t know yet their flight just keep on emailing sir adel and once sir adel informed you about your flight then wait for the text from sro and if sro didn’t text you yet and your flight has been already booked then better to come to sro.. mae: are you bound for KSMC? the first batch is to be deployed on october 13-14. i think, there is about 90 nurses? i dont know the exact number.

Hi to all SRO applicants=)
I’m now here @ Al Kharj, King Khalid Hospital, Riyadh.
We have cooked food here, different menu daily.
Some got their salary after a month, while some get it after 2-3 months.
The hospital was 400 bed capacity before, and just recently, it was changed to 300 plus due to under staffing.
Accommodation is nice in other buildings, but worse in others, like our building.
We are four in a room, 8 persons sharing 2 shower rooms and one toilet, and “64 persons” sharing ONE WASHING MACHINE in laundry room.
We’re kind of having a hard life in this building because of the huge volume of occupants with few available amenities..
For those who don’t have Saudi Council ID yet, you need to take the exam, have your BLS here, and register.
BLS with manual = 210 SR
Saudi Council Exam = 320 SR (if you took the exam in Philippines, no need to worry for this)
Saudi Council Registration = 890 SR
Iqama = 520 SR
