Google TV is the latest product of the world’s number one search engine and website, Google and its partners (Intel, Sony and Logitech). It was officially announced on May 20, 2010. Developers have said that this would redefine the television experience of the users and viewers.
Advantages would include:
1. Less time finding programs and more time watching
2. Can control and personalize what to watch
3. Can make TV content more interesting
4. Make the TV more than just a TV

Well, do you think this would be a hit? Do you think the Google TV set will be affordable?
Take the case on the Philippines, only a few has plasma or LCD TV to-date because of the hefty price. The LCD TV prices had relatively gone down but still it is expensive.
But the good thing is, Filipinos are now trying to be updated with technology. Families are now buying personal computers, laptops or notebook computers and broadband and DSL subscription rates are now cheaper.
Google TV might have a great market in the first world countries but not yet in a country like the Philippines.
By the way, how soon will it reach the Philippines? And how much will it cost? I should get one. Just kidding.
